After Haikus I did a bit of research on concrete poetry and its history. This research led me to further my experimentation with text. Legible Sculptures are a result of my experimentation with Farsi text. After experimenting with the English language in Haukus, I decided to work with Farsi words as well. I se¬lected some Iranian contemporary poems and started erasing parts of them. I continued this process until I could reduce the poem to one or two words. I was curious to see how these words function separated from their context and in this process, similar to Haikus, I was interested in abstracting the language. Ultimately I chose words that their meaning was related to place and space. I created a 3D model of them and tried to create living spaces inside them. Empty and banal living spaces is a theme that is recurring in my works in different forms. In this series, I experimented with playing with meanings and concepts that are appearing in different forms. Here, I included five out of nine works from this series.
