The repetitive, is what I was concerned with while working on this project. Routine is easy to fall in to, where I lost myself within the passage of days. I tried finding the early inĀ¬struments used for projection of images, and ended up building a machine based on the early designs of an instrument called a Praxinoscope. Originally the machine was worked by steam. In remaking it, I replaced the steam energy by the movement of the hand of the viewer. By winding the handle, the viewer creates repetition, just like the circle of the earth and the passage of days.
