My project called Heaven’s Door is a take on old music boxes. A sound-sculpture with an elaborate decorative casing. A big heart adorned with roses, using decorative motifs from internal domes of mosques with their mathematical pull on the eye, responds to the viewer’s movement through a sensor and the kaleidoscopic shapes within the heart move hypnotically to the sound of an old fashioned music box which sounds broken. The binaural beats are just one of three layers of sound engineered to stimulate the viewer’s senses and hold him as hypnotically as the moving shapes.
